Your Sustenance
Pasta for breakfast ? If you want it you can have it. I do. If not there is a
selection of french bread, cereals, porridge, yoghurt, jams and honey.
On the road food and special carb drinks are your responsibility. One mans medicine is another mans poison and all that. I am a jelly baby man, so if you like jelly babies you can always share mine.
Each evening there will be a 3 course dinner, high in carbs, organic where possible, with a variation of between traditional French, Italian, Mediterranean and British home cooking. All wine is included.
After one way day rides with transfers there will be drinks available for the transfer back to the chalet.
Swim Sessions. For you dedicated Triathletes you also have awesome scenarios for swim sessions.
Montchavin has its own outdoor pool, situtated 2 min walk from the chalet.

Board of pools try the Alpine Lake on the banks of the River Isere a 5min drive / ride from the Chalet. 100 mtrs plus in length Plan D' Eau is open May - September

For serious distance training Lac Annecy at 14km in length and between 4 - 10 km wide has a number of supervised beaches from which to start your swim. Annecy is a stunning french town a 1 hour dirve from the chalet but also a destination used for a return ride.
Running. Even the most dedicted roadies have been tempted to run the moutain paths that lead from the Chalet. The easy ski runs in the winter provide an excellent surface to run on, from chalet level at 1400 mtrs to upwards of 2500 mtrs into the forest of La Plagne. For a flatter route the cross country ski route runs from Montchavin for 7K alternativly the piste down in the valley runs along the River Isere for 14K.
